1. About these Terms

1.1 Who we are. MyChoice is operated by [LEGAL ENTITY NAME] (UEN / registration number: [REGISTRATION NUMBER]), whose address is [REGISTERED ADDRESS] ("we", "us", "our").

1.2 What these Terms cover. These Terms of Service ("Terms") are the agreement between you and us for your use of the MyChoice platform, including its product editions (currently MyAPT and MyEscape), our websites and applications, the "Save to MyChoice" browser extension and any related services (together, the "Service").

1.3 Acceptance. You accept these Terms when you create an account, sign in, join a Workspace through an invitation link, install or use the browser extension, or otherwise use the Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind it, and "you" includes that organisation.

1.4 Related documents. Our Privacy Policy at https://my-choice.io/privacy explains how we handle personal data and forms part of your relationship with us (see Section 12). Some features may come with additional terms, which apply to that feature and prevail over these Terms if they conflict.

1.5 Key terms.

TermMeaning
WorkspaceA shared space created around one search or decision (for example "Rent in Lyon" or "Lisbon, 8 nights").
MemberA person who belongs to a Workspace, as an Owner, Contributor or Viewer.
ItemOne option tracked in a Workspace (for example a home or a stay).
ContentEverything you add to the Service: Items, notes, ratings, criteria, weightings, photos, comments, settings and Imported Content.
Imported ContentInformation and images that you bring into the Service from a third-party website or document, including through a pasted link, pasted page source or the browser extension.

1.6 Interpretation. "Including" means "including without limitation". Headings are for convenience only.

2. Eligibility and your account

2.1 Capacity and minors. You must be able to form a binding contract under the law that applies to you. If you are under the age of majority where you live (18 in Singapore), you may use the Service only with the permission and involvement of a parent or legal guardian, who accepts these Terms on your behalf and is responsible for your use of the Service. The Service is designed for people making important decisions and is not directed at young children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from a child without the parental consent that the law requires, and if we learn that we have, we will delete it. You must not be barred from using the Service under any applicable law.

2.2 Accurate information. You must give accurate information when you register and keep it up to date.

2.3 Credentials. Keep your password and your access to your email and sign-in providers secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account. Tell us promptly at [SUPPORT EMAIL] if you suspect unauthorised access.

2.4 Sign in with Google. If you sign in with Google, we receive basic profile information, such as your name and email address, as described in the Privacy Policy. Your use of your Google account remains subject to Google's own terms.

2.5 One person, one account. Do not share your account or let someone else use it. Invite people into a Workspace instead (see Section 4).

2.6 Our right to refuse. We may decline or cancel a registration where we reasonably believe these Terms would be breached or the Service would be put at risk. Where you are a minor, we may ask for evidence of the consent of your parent or legal guardian.

3. What MyChoice is, and is not

3.1 What it is. MyChoice is a decision-tracking platform. It lets you and the people you decide with collect options, organise them in shared Workspaces, score them against weighted criteria, compare them side by side and follow each decision through to its end.

3.2 What it is not. MyChoice is not a marketplace, a listing portal, an estate agent, a broker, a landlord, a travel agency or a booking platform. We do not take part in any transaction between you and a third party, and no booking, rental, purchase or payment is made through the Service. We do not verify, endorse or guarantee any listing or any third party.

3.3 No professional advice. Nothing in the Service is legal, financial, tax, property, immigration, travel, medical or other professional advice. Take professional advice where you need it.

3.4 Scores and comparisons. Scores and rankings are calculated by applying the weightings chosen in a Workspace to the ratings entered by its Members. They reflect those inputs and nothing else. They are a decision aid, not an objective assessment of any option.

3.5 Estimates. Travel times, routes, maps, geocoding results, transit information and unit conversions rely on third-party data and automated calculations. They are estimates and may be inaccurate or out of date. Verify anything that matters before you rely on it.

3.6 Countries and editions. Features, product editions, supported websites and regional fields vary by country and may change. We do not promise that every feature is available everywhere.

3.7 Professional use. You may use the Service in a professional capacity, for example to help clients compare options. If you do, you are responsible for:

  • having the authority, and any notice or consent the law requires, to add personal data about your clients or other people to the Service;
  • complying with the laws and professional rules that apply to you;
  • making sure that your clients understand that the Service is a decision aid and not professional advice (see Section 3.3).

The Service is built for individuals and small groups, and we do not promise service levels designed for professional use.

4. Workspaces, Members and sharing

4.1 Roles. The person who creates a Workspace is its Owner. Each Member has one of the following roles:

RoleCan
ViewerView the Workspace only.
ContributorAdd, edit and rate Items, and share the Workspace with new Viewers and Contributors.
OwnerDo everything a Contributor can, plus manage Members and Workspace settings.

4.2 Invitation links. Sharing is done by reusable link, with one link per role granted. Anyone who opens a link can join the Workspace with the role attached to that link, after creating an account if they do not have one. Treat each link like a key. You are responsible for who you share a link with, and for the people you bring into a Workspace. We are not responsible for access gained by anyone who holds a valid link.

4.3 What other Members can see. Other Members can see what you add to a Workspace, including Items, notes, ratings, scores and information that identifies you inside the Workspace (such as your name). Once you share something, we cannot control what Members do with it, including copying it, taking screenshots or sharing it elsewhere. Only add what you are comfortable sharing with every Member.

4.4 Notifications. When a new Member joins a Workspace, we notify its Owners by email.

4.5 Owner responsibilities. Owners manage Members and settings, and may remove Members or delete the Workspace. Deleting a Workspace removes it, and the access of every Member, from the Service. Owners are responsible for the way their Workspace is run.

4.6 When a Member leaves. If you leave a Workspace or close your account, the ratings and Items you contributed may remain in that Workspace so that the group's comparisons stay coherent. Your rights over your personal data are described in the Privacy Policy, and we will honour them as the law requires.

4.7 Disputes between Members. We are not a party to any disagreement between Members and have no duty to settle it. We may act where the law requires or where these Terms are breached.

4.8 Inviting others. Only invite people who would reasonably expect your invitation. Do not use invitations to send unsolicited messages.

5. Your Content

5.1 You own your Content. As between you and us, you keep all rights you have in your Content. We do not claim ownership of it.

5.2 Licence to us. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence, which we may sublicense to our service providers, to host, store, reproduce, process, adapt, display and transmit your Content, and to make it available to the other Members of the relevant Workspace. We use this licence only to provide, maintain, secure and support the Service and to comply with the law. It continues for as long as your Content stays in the Service and for the backup and retention periods described in the Privacy Policy.

5.3 Your promises. You confirm that:

  • you own your Content or have all rights, licences and permissions needed to add it to the Service and to grant us the licence above;
  • your Content, and our use of it as these Terms allow, does not infringe or violate any law or any right of a third party, including copyright, database rights, confidentiality and privacy;
  • you will not add personal information about other people (for example an agent's or a landlord's contact details) beyond what is reasonably necessary for your decision, and you will handle it lawfully.

5.4 Your responsibility. You are responsible for your Content. We do not monitor it in advance, but we may review, remove or restrict access to it as set out in these Terms.

5.5 Keep your own copies. The Service is not an archive or a backup service. Keep your own copy of anything important. During the beta, we cannot guarantee that Content will never be lost or corrupted.

5.6 Our access to your Content. We access Content only as needed to provide and support the Service, to keep it secure, to investigate abuse or breaches of these Terms, to answer legal requests, or to produce the aggregated information described in Section 5.7.

5.7 Aggregated and de-identified data. We may create and use statistics and other data that does not identify you or any Workspace, for example the number of Workspaces by country or which listing websites are imported most often. We use it to operate, secure and improve the Service, including to decide which websites to support better. We will not attempt to re-identify it.

6. Importing listings, the browser extension and AI-assisted extraction

6.1 How import works. You can add an Item by hand, by pasting a link, by pasting page source, or by using the browser extension. To extract details we use, in order, structured data published on the page (such as schema.org and OpenGraph), website-specific parsers, and an AI model as a fallback. When you give us a link, we may retrieve the page on your behalf, directly or through a third-party provider.

6.2 Private use and other websites' rules. Imported Content is saved for your private decision-making inside your Workspaces. It is not published. You may import only content that you are allowed to access and to keep for that purpose. You are responsible for complying with the terms of the websites you import from, and for your use of those websites.

6.3 Browser extension. The extension works on pages you choose to save. It sends the page you are viewing to the Service, using your signed-in session with us. You do not give the extension your passwords for other websites. Do not use it on pages that show sensitive personal data, such as payment details, identity documents or health information, or information that you are not entitled to copy. You can remove the extension at any time. Your use of the extension is also subject to the terms of the store from which you install it.

6.4 AI-assisted extraction. We use AI models, provided by third parties, to help extract details from page content. Extracted information may be incomplete or wrong, including prices, surfaces, dates, availability, fees and cancellation conditions. Always check the original source before you decide. We send our AI providers only what is needed to extract the details of an Item, and we do not use your Content to train AI models.

6.5 Photos. When you import an Item, we may copy its images into our storage so that you can view them in your Workspace. Those images remain subject to the rights of their owners. You are responsible for making sure that your use of them is permitted, and you must not use them outside the Service. We will remove images on a valid request (see Section 18).

6.6 No guarantee of coverage. We may reject, change or limit an import, and we do not guarantee that any website will be supported or will continue to be supported.

6.7 No affiliation. Names of listing websites and platforms are used only to identify them. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by them.

7. Acceptable use

7.1 What you must not do. You must not, and must not help anyone to:

  • use the Service in breach of any law, or for fraud, deception or any unlawful purpose;
  • infringe or violate the intellectual property, privacy or other rights of anyone, including by importing or uploading content you are not entitled to use;
  • harass, threaten or abuse anyone, or add content that is unlawful, hateful or defamatory;
  • upload malware, or interfere with or disrupt the Service, its infrastructure or other users;
  • bypass or test our security, authentication, access controls or rate limits without our prior written permission;
  • access the Service by automated means, such as bots, scrapers or crawlers, other than the official extension and the interfaces we provide to you, or use our import endpoints outside the official application and extension;
  • scrape, harvest, copy or mass-export the Service's content, data, templates, scoring methods or information about other users;
  • reverse engineer, decompile or try to derive the source code, prompts, templates or extraction logic of the Service, except where the law allows this despite this restriction;
  • use the Service, or its output, to build or train a competing product or service, or a machine-learning model, or to benchmark it for a competitor;
  • resell, rent, sublicense or give third parties access to the Service, other than by inviting Members as Section 4 allows;
  • impersonate anyone or misrepresent your identity or affiliation.

7.2 Reporting vulnerabilities. If you find a security vulnerability, report it to [SECURITY EMAIL] and give us a reasonable time to fix it before you disclose it. We will not pursue good-faith research that follows this approach, avoids harm to other users and does not access data that is not yours.

7.3 Enforcement. We may investigate suspected breaches, remove or restrict Content, limit features, and suspend or end accounts as set out in Section 14. We may report unlawful activity to the authorities and cooperate with them.

8. Third-party content and services

8.1 Third-party content. Listings and the information in them come from third parties. We do not control them, we do not verify them, and we are not responsible for them.

8.2 Third-party services. The Service relies on third-party providers, for example for hosting, storage, maps, geocoding, email, sign-in, page retrieval and AI. Their terms may apply to you when you use the related features. We are not responsible for their services, or for any interruption or failure on their side.

8.3 Links. The Service may link to third-party websites. We do not control them and are not responsible for them.

9. Our intellectual property

9.1 Ownership. We and our licensors own all rights in the Service, including the software, extraction engine, templates, scoring methods, designs, interfaces, text and trademarks. These rights are protected by law. Nothing in these Terms transfers any of them to you.

9.2 Your licence. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable licence to use the Service, and to install and use the browser extension, for your own personal use. We reserve all rights that are not expressly granted.

9.3 Trademarks. MyChoice, MyAPT, MyEscape and our logos are marks of [LEGAL ENTITY NAME], whether or not registered. You may not use them, or confusingly similar names or logos, without our prior written permission, except to refer to the Service truthfully.

9.4 Open-source components. Some components of the Service are provided under open-source licences. Those licences apply to those components.

10. Feedback

If you send us ideas, suggestions or feedback about the Service, you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use them for any purpose without obligation or payment to you. We have no duty to keep them confidential.

11. Fees

11.1 Free while in beta. The Service is free while it is in beta. No payment card is required.

11.2 Future changes. We may introduce paid plans, paid features or usage limits in the future. If we do, we will give you at least 30 days' notice, by email or inside the Service, before a feature you currently use becomes chargeable. We will never charge you unless you choose a paid option and give us your payment details. Paid options will be governed by additional terms presented to you at that time.

12. Privacy, security and communications

12.1 Privacy. Our Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why, who we share it with and what rights you have. Please read it.

12.2 Security. We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the Service. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee that unauthorised access will never occur.

12.3 Service messages. We send you the emails the Service needs in order to work, such as invitations, sign-in and password-reset messages, security alerts and notices about these Terms. We send marketing messages only where you have agreed to them or where the law allows.

13. Beta status, availability and changes to the Service

13.1 Beta. The Service is in beta. It is evolving, and features may be added, changed, limited or removed at any time.

13.2 Limits. We may set or change limits, for example on the number of Workspaces, Items, imports or photos, and on the rate of requests, in order to protect the Service.

13.3 Availability. We do not promise that the Service will be available at all times or free of errors. It may be interrupted for maintenance, for security reasons, or because of events beyond our control, including failures of third-party providers.

13.4 Discontinuation. If we decide to discontinue the Service or a major feature, we will give you reasonable notice, at least 30 days where practicable, and a reasonable opportunity to retrieve your Content where the Service allows it.

13.5 Support. We aim to help, but we do not promise any level of support during the beta.

14. Suspension and termination

14.1 By you. You can stop using the Service at any time and can close your account through your account settings, where available, or by writing to [SUPPORT EMAIL]. If you own a Workspace that other people use, transfer it or delete it before closing your account, where the Service allows.

14.2 By us. We may suspend or end your access, remove Content or restrict features:

  • immediately and without notice if you seriously breach these Terms, if your use creates a risk of harm or liability for us or others, or if the law requires it;
  • on reasonable notice in other cases, including prolonged inactivity or discontinuation of the Service under Section 13.4.

Where it is reasonable and lawful, we will tell you why.

14.3 Effect. When your account ends, your right to use the Service ends and our licence to you ends. We will delete or anonymise your personal data as described in the Privacy Policy. Content you shared in a Workspace that continues to exist may remain available to its other Members as Section 4.6 explains.

14.4 What survives. Sections 9, 10, 15, 16, 17, 20 and 21, and any other provision that by its nature is meant to survive, continue after termination.

15. Disclaimers

15.1 As is. THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", AS A BETA SERVICE. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

15.2 No guarantee of results. In particular, we do not warrant that: imported or extracted data is accurate, complete or current; any listing exists, remains available or is genuine; prices, fees, dates, surfaces, travel times, routes or maps are correct; scores or comparisons will lead to a good decision; the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of data loss; or any website will remain compatible with the import tools.

15.3 Your decisions are yours. You are solely responsible for decisions you make with or after using the Service, such as renting, buying, booking, travelling, signing, paying a deposit or cancelling.

15.4 Beware of fraud. Listings on third-party websites may be fraudulent or misleading. We do not verify listings and cannot protect you from scams. Verify an offer and the person behind it before you pay a deposit, send money or share identity documents.

15.5 Mandatory law. Nothing in this Section removes a warranty or right that the law gives you and does not allow to be excluded.

16. Limitation of liability

16.1 What is not limited. Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything that cannot be limited or excluded under the law that applies to you, including mandatory consumer protection law.

16.2 Excluded losses. SUBJECT TO SECTION 16.1, AND TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL OR PUNITIVE LOSS, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFIT, REVENUE, BUSINESS, GOODWILL, SAVINGS OR OPPORTUNITY (INCLUDING THE LOSS OF A PROPERTY, A BOOKING, A JOB OR A DEPOSIT), OR LOSS OR CORRUPTION OF DATA, WHATEVER THE LEGAL BASIS OF THE CLAIM AND EVEN IF WE WERE TOLD THAT THE LOSS WAS POSSIBLE.

16.3 Cap. SUBJECT TO SECTION 16.1, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM AND (B) S$20.

16.4 Third parties. We are not liable for the acts or omissions of third parties, including other Members, listing websites, our service providers, or anyone who gains access through a link you shared or through your credentials.

16.5 Allocation of risk. You acknowledge that the Service is provided free of charge during the beta and that this Section reflects a fair allocation of risk between us.

16.6 Local law. Where the law of your country does not allow some of these exclusions or limits, they apply only to the extent that the law permits.

17. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you will indemnify us, and our officers, directors, employees and agents, against claims, losses, damages, liabilities and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:

  • your Content;
  • your breach of these Terms or of the law;
  • your infringement of the rights of a third party, including intellectual property rights and the terms of the websites you import from;
  • a dispute between you and another Member.

We will notify you promptly of any claim. We may take control of its defence, and we will not settle it in a way that imposes an obligation on you without your consent, which you must not unreasonably withhold.

18. Intellectual property complaints and takedown

18.1 Rights holders. We respect intellectual property rights. If you believe that Content in the Service infringes your rights, write to [LEGAL EMAIL] with:

  • your name and contact details;
  • a description of the work you say is infringed and a statement that you own it or are authorised to act for its owner;
  • the location of the material in the Service (a link to the Item, or the Workspace and Item title, where you know them);
  • a statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised by the owner, its agent or the law;
  • a statement that the information in your notice is accurate.

18.2 Our response. We may remove or disable access to the material and tell the user who added it, who may reply to us. We may end the accounts of users who repeatedly infringe the rights of others.

18.3 Misuse. A notice made in bad faith or knowingly containing false statements may expose the sender to liability.

18.4 Website owners. If you operate a website and want to ask that we stop importing pages from your domain, write to [LEGAL EMAIL]. We will review your request in good faith.

18.5 Other complaints. To report unlawful content or a privacy concern, write to [LEGAL EMAIL].

19. Changes to these Terms

19.1 Updates. We may update these Terms, for example when the Service, the law or our practices change. The version number and effective date are shown at the top.

19.2 Notice. For material changes we will give you at least 14 days' notice, by email or inside the Service, before they take effect. Changes required by law or by security needs may take effect immediately.

19.3 Your choice. If you keep using the Service after a change takes effect, you accept the new Terms. If you do not accept them, stop using the Service and close your account before the change takes effect.

20. Governing law and disputes

20.1 Governing law. These Terms, and any dispute arising out of or relating to them or to the Service, are governed by the laws of Singapore, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.

20.2 Talk to us first. Before starting proceedings, write to us at [LEGAL EMAIL] and try in good faith to resolve the dispute for 30 days. This does not prevent either of us from seeking urgent relief from a court.

20.3 Courts. Subject to Section 20.4, the courts of Singapore have exclusive jurisdiction.

20.4 Consumers outside Singapore. If you use the Service as a consumer and live outside Singapore, you keep the benefit of the mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence and any right to bring proceedings in the courts of that country. Nothing in these Terms removes those rights.

21. General provisions

21.1 Entire agreement. These Terms, the Privacy Policy and any additional terms for a feature are the whole agreement between you and us about the Service and replace any earlier understanding about it.

21.2 Severability. If a provision is found invalid or unenforceable, it applies to the maximum extent permitted and the rest of these Terms remains in force.

21.3 No waiver. If we do not enforce a provision, we do not give it up.

21.4 Assignment. You may not transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our written consent. We may transfer ours to an affiliate, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing or sale of assets.

21.5 Third-party rights. A person who is not a party to these Terms has no right under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 2001 of Singapore to enforce any of its terms, except that our officers, directors, employees and agents may rely on Sections 15 to 17. You and we may change or end these Terms without the consent of any third party.

21.6 Events beyond our control. We are not liable for any failure or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control.

21.7 Notices. We may give you notice by email to the address on your account or inside the Service. You may give us notice at the address in Section 22.

21.8 Electronic form. You agree that these Terms, and notices about them, may be given and accepted electronically.

21.9 Language. These Terms are available in English and in French. If the two versions differ, the English version prevails, except where mandatory law requires that the version in your language prevails.

21.10 Relationship. Nothing in these Terms makes you and us partners, joint venturers, employer and employee, or agent and principal.
